Thursday, April 12 is Rock the Drop day!
Here's how it works:
Go through your teeming piles of books and pick out one or two that are arcs, duplicates or that you feel ready to pass on to another deserving soul.
Click on the banner link above to print out a Rock The Drop bookplate and insert it into the book.
Drop the book - could be at a restaurant, park bench, bus seat - anywhere it might be found.
Snap a picture of the book. You can post pics to readergirlz facebook page, tweet it at #rockthedrop.
You're done. Random act of book kindness completed.
It's a great movement.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cool idea! I am totally doing that. :)
ReplyDeleteI totally rocked the drop this morning around my city and had a blast doing it! :) Here's my post on it if you'd like to see what I did: Rocking the Drop
ReplyDeletevisiting via A to Z, but LOVE this idea!!! Never heard of it before but I love books, have a ton, and love to share. Great idea for a RAK.
ReplyDeleteOooh, I like this concept of showing random acts of kindness through the joy of reading.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty stingy when it comes to my books though, but you're in luck...I purchased one book over the last few months that I haven't even put a dent in reading because it's just so boring -- but it's non-fiction, go figure! I find myself having to force myself to read it or try to convince myself that it will get better in a few chapters. Nope! LOL
I'll have to come back to this...it's night time where I am now, so I'll have to "Rock the Drop" on another day :)
Cheers!
